One of the benefits of being a member of Hertford Astronomy Group is that you have the opportunity to borrow club equipment at no additional cost.  Now that the sun is getting lower in the sky, you might like to take this opportunity to remind yourself on how our closest star looks through a Hydrogen-Alpha telescope.

The HAG Coronado PST Solarscope has been modified with an additional 80mm telescope attachment with an additional ERF filter and comes complete with a Celestron tracking mount as part of the kit.

Stephen Heliczer our Equipment Officer will explain to you how to set-up and use the telescope for viewing or for astrophotography.  If you wish to borrow it, please email Steve at for further details.

Here's a montage of photos taken recently by Steve taking advantage of the clear nights and sunny days.
